The Seminar was opened by Prof. Dr. Ir. Indra Surjati, MT, IPM as Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, and attended by Director of Vocational (SMK) Development of Kemendikbud RI, who was represented by Taufiq Damarjati, MT (Sub-Division Head of Curriculum) who also the Seminar’s Keynote Speaker.
The Seminar presents 3 speakers, namely Ahmad Zuhdi, SSi, M.Kom as Vice Dean IV FTI, Ir. Michael S. Sunggiardi, and Ramadin Tarigan, ST. (Coordinator of Principal Forum of SMK Bogor and Depok).
The event was followed by about 150 participants consisted of principals and teachers of Vocational School (SMK) in Jabodetabek and several representatives from SMK Cirebon and Bandung. Besides, the event was also attended by industry and business players who are ready to collaborate with SMK, as the users of SMK’s graduates.
The event aimed to socialize the DU/DI-based Vocational Expertise Competency Tests for Students of SMK so that the vocational education provider in the field of Information and Communication Technology (TIK) can get to know the industry and business world, especially the TIK-based industry.
In this event the TIK of FTI Usakti Commissariat volunteers are also formed which inaugurated by Chairman of National TIK Volunteers and witnessed by Mr. Bambang Tri Santoso (Sub-Division Head of TIK Community Empowerment), Directorate of Informatics Empowerment, the Ministry of Communication and Informatics.
The Seminar and Socialization is continued with a workshop of Capacity Improvement for Prospective Assessor and External Assessor in the World of Business and Industry. With the workshop it is expected the 110 participants can get clear and complete pictures about tasks and obligations required from an Assessor of TIK expertise competency test, in respective specialization (Computer Technology and Networks, Soft Tools Engineering and Multimedia).
Hopefully with the Seminar can improve the quality of expertise competency of SMK students.
